Logan Airport, Boston Massachusetts
Boston Logan International Airport, is known as the Gateway to New England. With commercial flights dating back to 1927, the transportation hub has grown and expanded continuously ever since. Concrete slab repair for runway and gate areas at Logan Airport during the Logan Modernization project required a minimum of downtime due to the high traffic demands at the airport. Contractors in New England have experience with high quality concrete repair products from USCP. USCP HP Cement delivered in 2000 lb bulk bags was used to:
- achieve 2800 psi at 2 hours and 4800 psi at 1 day (ASTM C 39 Extended)
- backfill duct banks
- pour new concrete pads on airport apron and traffic areas
- reset runway and taxiway lighting
